"O mankind! WE created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know and honor each other (not that you should despise one another). Indeed the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most righteous."

Battle of Thoughts...!!!

Let me tell you a story. It is a story about a battle. A bloody battle that takes place every second of every day in all our lives.
The battle ground is ‘our own mind’ which is always a tricky thing as the way it works.
The hero in this battle is a ‘thought’ that emerges in our mind like a cute little bubble formed in water. This thought can be an Idea or a feeling or an urge or just an emotion.
If there is a hero, there should be villains too right (like a tamil masala movie). Yes, we do have villains.
Here the villains are ‘other thoughts’ which had also emerged from the same mind.

Now, if you could image our mind as a plain ground...calm, quiet & steady. Suddenly here comes the so called "thought" out of nowhere, drifting & moving around in a fixed path with a specific purpose. This flourishing ‘thought’ invites the attention of our full mind (irritating other thoughts) to nurture upon it since it do provide a certain level of ‘meaning’ & energy to act/initiate to nourish this 'thought' further. But the other thoughts (our villains) in our mind will not simply accept the idea of fulfilling this thought. Will it...??? It is just because, this so called 'thought' has to be justified with proper logic or an urge/longingness.

So… just imagine, once the calm, quiet & steady plain ground suddenly becomes a battle ground/field of many other thoughts like fully armed soldiers (with a commander to lead them) standing at both the sides, facing each other, shouting, crouching & craving to destroy the other. At times, one thought tries to attack the ‘base-thought’, some try to sooth & some to hijack the other. End of the struggle, whoever wins will have the upper hand & our poor ‘base thought’ (how noble it might be) tired & exhausted, will be at their mercy & at the verge of martyrdom. Here dies our idea/feeling/emotion within ourselves…ironically being murdered by us.
Now, once victorious, the villainous thoughts doesn’t try to create a similar idea/feeling/emotion/urge as the ‘base-thought’ had…but they simply run back to their ‘source’ & hide…waiting for their next turn/chance.

Oh! Human beings… blessed thee, who shall attain the stature of stress-less life, those who can independently control their thoughts or atleast part of it.

So… Actually, when somebody say that... this or that person is insane. I quite don't find a logic in that statement. I wish everyone could see through that person... crystal clear like the pebbles resting at the bottom of a calm lake… that the only liberated soul & absolutely sane brain around us might be that person's.

Or…did I also fall into the category of 'insanity'…???

Ram Jetmalani on Chidambaram. Fox against Wolf.

Ram Jetmalani on Chidambaram.
(A cunning Fox against a greedy Wolf)

Me:
I am not a huge fan of neither Mr. Ram Jetmalani nor Mr. P Chidambaram but I am a 'common man' who wake-up every morning with 'common dreams' & work hard to achieve those. Though I understand the fact that dreams are always left as dreams for the 'Common'.
I support Anna Hazare only because of the 'cause' he is fighting for & I dream (again) that this cause shall be a stepping stone for people like me to fulfill our dreams.

Friend, father & philosopher of black money is Chidambaram

Palaniappan Chidambaram, whom I shall for the sake of brevity call just Chidambaram, is best seen through black and white. And please don't get me wrong and accuse me of racism. I refer not to epidermis or mane, but to the economic colour of money. Some of his greatest contributions to the economy of India are his brilliant pioneering initiatives for changing the colour of money from black to white. And this passion has never left him.
Many of us have forgotten the Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS) 1997, which he announced when he was Finance Minister with the United Front government, granting income-tax defaulters indefinite immunity from prosecution under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973, Income Tax Act, 1961, Wealth Tax Act, 1957, and Companies Act, 1956, in exchange of self-valuation and disclosure of income and assets. The scheme was brilliantly conceived. While all schemes in the past valued declared assets at current prices, VDIS 1997 brought in an arbitrary date of 1 April 1987. Gold and silver hoarders, and large property holders got an exceptional bonanza on this valuation system. Further, proof of purchase was not insisted upon, which gave complete freedom to the confessors to fudge any date they wanted to their own financial advantage and further plunder of the country. So, even if gold was bought after 1987, it could be shown as having been bought before 1987, and it was a win-win game for all stakeholders to rake in the cuts. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India condemned the scheme in his report as abusive and a fraud on the genuine taxpayers of the country. But the issue was forgotten, and the illustrious career of Palaniappan Chidambaram rose to greater heights in the UPA regime.
Those were his innocent days. What a long way he has come since the era when he was cooking up VDISs, so utterly transparent, that the loopholes and avenues to give relief to the looters stared you in the face. The world economy was also then a little simpler than it is today, and his best achievement was getting caught about his investments in Fairgrowth, which was involved in the Securities Scam of 1992. Chidambaram had to resign for this utterly transparent investment in a company whose scam would have paid rich dividends. Unfortunately, he was not Finance Minister at the time and did not have the machinery to hush things up, and could only remotely control the markets, unlike his present capabilities as former Finance Minister and thereafter.
Being Finance Minister in the UPA government was his finest hour. He could fiddle around with share markets, capital markets, banks, financial instruments, such as, securities, participatory notes, tax treaties, not to speak of spectrum sale, and use his extraordinary innovative powers of black money magic to plunder our country with complete impunity. He assiduously cultivated the media with his clipped English accent (that led him down, now and then), occasional freebies, and sustained shadows of the Enforcement Directorate that he commanded.
Chidambaram cannot get black money out of his blood. Dr Subramanian Swamy has clearly stated in his website, "I now have further information from my usually reliable sources in the Union Government that the tapping of Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and his close associate in the Ministry, enabled Mr. Robert Vadra the son-in-law of Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Karthik son of Mr. P. Chidambaram, to use the data thereby collected to manipulate and rig the Mumbai stock market. Earlier these data were directly provided by the then Finance Minister Mr. Chidambaram. I demand that the SEBI be asked by PM to initiate 'Insider Trading' investigation and prosecution of Mr. Vadra and Mr. Karthik."
If what is put out by Dr Subramanian Swamy is false why doesn't Chidambaram sue him?
The dark clouds of the 2G scam and the repeated evidence being given by A. Raja and other accused of his tacit involvement and other acts of omission and commission are menacingly closing in on Chidambaram. He is losing his cool, and more importantly, losing his carefully clipped English accent to its more indigenous roots more often. And like his colleague Digvijay Singh, his mind seems to be disintegrating to a stage where he has started talking gibberish. Take this, for example: in reply to the BJP demand for his resignation for his involvement in the 2G scam, Chidambaram claims that the BJP is targeting him since he initiated a probe by the NIA into Hindu terror. Can any rational person see the connection between the two?
Take also his comments regarding the recent Mumbai blasts. As Home Minister, instead of taking stock of the situation, and providing leadership, the only intelligent thing he could think of saying was, "No intelligence is not intelligence failure." Even a college debating society expects better logic. It's something like saying "illness is not a failure of health" or "impotence is not a failure of potency".
Chidambaram's special financial skills have diversified into electoral politics also. He has the distinction of having been declared defeated in the last Lok Sabha election, after which he galvanized his special skills and local machinery, in particular, a data entry operator, and doctored a marginal victory on the recount. That is quite a record for fraud. And can one forget how the Indian Bank was cleaned up and left with only non-performing assets thanks to him and his Tamil Maanila buddies?
Chidambaram's record as Home Minister has been disastrous. Neither has he made any impact on internal security, with the worst massacres of his own paramilitary forces taking place in his time, nor on terrorism, which carries on in complete complacency because there are neither effective preventive or punitive systems in place, nor political will and national legislation to combat terrorism. It is on record and in the public domain that the Home Ministry gave incorrect names of India's most wanted list of terrorists allegedly hiding in Pakistan, some of whom were tracked living in India or in custody. Is this a testament to his fabled efficiency and commitment?
What a laughing stock we must be before the world. It is almost as if India is determined that it shall not combat terrorism, shall not have enabling legislation as enacted by the US, such as the Homeland Security Act 2002, and the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 of UK and similar legislations in European governments. India is determined not to have an effective national agency on the lines of the Homeland Security Department of the US. The ramshackle National Investigation Agency showed itself as a complete failure during the recent Mumbai attacks. Understandable, because its only mandate appears to be to investigate "Hindu terror", the last refuge for failed and hopeless Congressmen like Chidambaram. The CCTNS, JIC, ARC, NTRO (presently in another scam), and NCTC remain effete, scattered and unmonitorable, even by the Home Ministry. With such an unequivocal determination by the UPA government not to address terrorism effectively, I can only grieve for my country.
Everytime there is a tragedy in India, politicians add to the misery of the victims, be it appearing in hospitals uninvited, or by spouting inane and insensitive platitudes.

Barely 24 hours after three bombs rocked crowded places in Mumbai, they were at it again, with their daft quotes and politicking.

Here are five of the worst.

"Not an intelligence failure'
- P Chidambaram
The Union home minister admitted that there were no intelligence inputs in tragic happenings, but refraining from calling it an intelligence failure. We wonder if Chidu's intellgence, in all its 3 digit glory, has cooked up a perplexing paradox simply too confounding for the common man to compute (what with all that looking over the shoulder he has to do).
The Bharatiya Janata Party was quick to slam the Home Minister, as is custom, with Rajeev Pratap Rudy saying: "When any incident which occurs, when we have a large network of intelligence agencies and intelligence networks, it is a failure. So out rightly denying that it was not an intelligence failure, I think, is an act in which the home minister is trying to condone this terror attack."
"We will stop 99 per cent of the attacks. But one per cent of attacks might get through and that is what I am saying." - Rahul Gandhi
Oh.So you mean to say that all blast come under this 1%.If so show us 99% attacks which you have stopped. Can you all remove your personal protection forces as only 1%  attack is happening.
A statement that neither sugarcoats the truth nor exemplfies it, if truth indeed it is.
Farmers in UP may well have an additional more concern:This Amul baby is running out of prittle-prattle and pointless platitudes.
Again, the BJP (who else?) was the first to pounce. But this time, others also joined the bandwagon, slamming the Yuvraj for 'condoning terrorism and militancy.'
"Maharashtra crime rate has increased in the last 10 years. Examine from where the people perpetrating the crimes come from. We have blamed police and intelligence enough in all these years, now it is time to check on the migrants." - Raj Thackeray
You might be mistaken if you thought people from Pakistan and Afghanistan are flooding Mumbai.
There are some people whose geography is limited to only Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
"India is better than Pakistan where blasts take place every day, every week.”
- Digvijay Singh

I don’t know what this Idiot mean to say.Foolish comparsion.
"Terrorists had the advantage of surprise" - Manmohan Singh
You don't say!
In your rule everyone had the advantage of surprise. For you all is surprise(Appointment of Thomas as Head of Anti corruption, though there is a case against him, then later it took you to surprise, then 2G,KG,CW Games and all.

Money is Yours... But Resources Belong to SOCIETY.

Received via e-mail:

MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO SOCIETY.

Germany is a highly industrialized country. It produces top brands like Benz, BMW, and Siemens etc. The nuclear reactor pump is made in a small town in this country. In such a country, many will think its people lead a luxurious life. At least that was my impression before my study trip.
When I arrived at Hamburg, my colleagues who work in Hamburg arranged a welcome party for me in a restaurant. As we walked into the restaurant, we noticed that a lot of tables were empty. There was a table where a young couple was having their meal. There were only two dishes and two cans of beer on the table. I wondered if such simple meal could be romantic, and whether the girl will leave this stingy guy.

There were a few old ladies on another table. When a dish is served, the waiter would distribute the food for them, and they would finish every bit of the food on their plates.

We did not pay much attention to them, as we were looking forward to the dishes we ordered. As we were hungry, our local colleague ordered more food for us.

As the restaurant was quiet, the food came quite fast. Since there were other activities arranged for us, we did not spend much time dining. When we left, there was still about one third of unconsumed food on the table.
When we were leaving the restaurant, we heard someone calling us. We noticed the old ladies in the restaurant were talking about us to the restaurant owner. When they spoke to us in English, we understood that they were unhappy about us wasting so much food. We immediately felt that they were really being too busybody.  "We paid for our food, it is none of your business how much food we left behind," my colleague Gui told the old ladies.
The old ladies were furious. One of them immediately took her hand phone out and made a call to someone. After a while, a man in uniform claimed to be an officer from the Social Security organization arrived. Upon knowing what the dispute was, he issued us a 50 Mark fine.
We all kept quiet. The local colleague took out a 50 Mark note and repeatedly apologized to the officer. The officer told us in a stern voice, "ORDER WHAT YOU CAN CONSUME, MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY. THERE ARE MANY OTHERS IN THE WORLD WHO ARE FACING SHORTAGE OF RESOURCES. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WASTE RESOURCES.´”
Our face turned red. We all agreed with him in our hearts. The mindset of people of this rich country put all of us to shame. WE REALLY NEED TO REFLECT ON THIS. We are from country which is not very rich in resources. To save face, we order large quantity and also waste food when we give others a treat. THIS LESSON TAUGHT US A LESSON TO THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT CHANGING OUR BAD HABITS.

My colleague Photocopied the fine ticket and gave a copy to each of us as a souvenir. All of us kept it and pasted on our wall to remind us that we shall never be wasteful.

So, what are you thinking? Isn’t it novel enuf a cause to reflect and emulate this wonderful example in  our own daily living – especially in incredible India!

A farmer returns to God; his blood still on Gaza streets...!!!

A heart-touchy writing by Shafi Rahman (of India Today) worth reading: (read here)

My comment to his writing:
Dear Mr. Shafi Rahman, Thank you very much for an excellent writing...indeed a sad one. Though humanitarians & peace lovers cry out loud since ages to gather help & support in extending a hand to the brutally persecuted Palestinians by the wicked & cruel israelites, still those 'cries' are left un-heard as if the scream-in-jungle which shall never be heard. I remeber a popular saying in my native "when somebody's mom gets crazy, it is fun to watch"... We Indians had a similar situation when Pakistan troops waged war on us by occupying kargil. Still people had not yet forgotten how the slogan 'Unity in Diversity' came into existence (& that was the last time we saw that kind of unity among ourselves) in every hearts & minds of an Indian during the war though the war never affected our living condition. Then what shall be the condition of the people like Mohammed Haji who had lived in such a trauma that nothing can be predicted, without a penny in hand - an absolute state of selflessness, knowing nothing about what to live for. I shouldn't say this, yet, death for 'him' (like the many other millions in the area) is indeed a blessing since 'suicide' (an early escape from severe pain & hardship) is a big 'sin' according to their religious scriptures.

Anna Hazare - An insight thought...!!!

Who is this 'Anna Hazare'...??? Our general public had gotten into such a deep-messy-hole that they still do not know what is happening. Look around... you have eyes (clean & crystal clear) yet you are blind... the voices are raising, the trumpets are blown, hearts are beating for a cause... a single yet noble cause... Words came to me in the form of an e-mail from a dear friend (& colleague) Mr. Ranjith who always amuses me with something new. A complete positive bound guy with a witty & sharp intellect.

If you ask me, "is it really possible to eradicate the complete course of corruption from Indian soil, with a single handed fight, by an 'old man' like Anna Hazare...???" Well, let me say, in India the capital punishment for murder is 'Hanging until death' & yet murders happen. Atleast this 'short man - a true Gandhian' can bring a pile of fear & hesitance to someone bloodying his hands in the sins of corruption. Who knows what's next. It is worth a try...Come what may...!!!

1. Who is Anna Hazare...???
 An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War
 2. What's so special about him..???
He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra
 3. So what..???
This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.
In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.
 4. Ok,...?
This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.
 5. Really, what is he fighting for...???
He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.
 6. How that can be possible...???
He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.
 8. It's an entirely new thing right...???
In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).
 7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time...???
The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.
Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.
 8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed...???
A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.
 9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare...???
Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.
Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.
 10. Ok, got it. What can I do...???
At least we can spread the message.
 11. How?
Putting status message, links, video, changing profile pics in facebook, orkut, twitter,by talking to   your friends about this,by forwarding this mail & in all possible ways.
At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India.
At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.
At least we can pray for his good health.

Thanks for reading. Keep up the spirit...!!!

Hindustan VS Pakistan (Cricket Match) - A mockery on Faith & Unity in Diversity.

Contin....of... Hindustan VS Paksitan (Cricket Match) - A mockery on Faith & Unity in Diversity

Let me start this post with prayers to the people of JAPAN who had recently suffered terribly (& being suffering throughout the years due to many natural calamties & had succesfully stood upon their legs with an incredible growth rate). The discipline, the calmness, the self obedience & the faith are indeed a lesson to all of us. I do wish to write a lot more about the People of Japan (read here) though let me not put it in this post since it deviates from the original topic (how to destroy a beautiful & noble country being a cheap & nasty politician).
What was the role of Mass Media - let me call them arrogant, biased & multi faced - during these Tsunami days in Japan...???
The high esteem shown by the mass media in reporting silly & idiotic news of state politics (well, who cares these b**t**ds) of a country with a total population of 1.1 billion people out of which more than 70 % lives fall under Below Poverty Line who are struggling to keep up the ends. Please... before defending ourselves saying "So what... it is their fate & which nobody can do anything about", please do read the below too:

I had been told recently by a trustworthy source that, majority of the 'rice & clothing' allowances announced by the Government immediately after the 2004 Tsunami in India (especially in Tamil Nadu & east & west coastlines) had not yet reached the terribly affected people. Whereas as per the government records all are given. Then how come it gets stuck in between. I guess our minister's & other political official's must have a biiiiiiggggg & stretching belly.

1.1 billion people out of which more than 770 million souls who has a monthly earning of below 300 Indian Rupees i.e., 6.67 US Dollars (10 Indian Rupees which is 0.223 US Dollars per day)... Shame on US... Shame on YOU.

Though we Indians technically challenges the whole world in all fields and stands top in the global business but the irony is that the country is the third poorest country in the world. Yes, in India ‘the Rich get richer and the Poor get poorer’, this may be hard to digest but this is the bitter reality. There are rich IT parks, star rated hotels, satellite launch center and all posh places on one side of the nation, where as on the other side there are hunger strikes, huts, despair, slums that stand as the signs of Poverty. Some of the major reasons are due to:
Population Outburst (still people don't know how to act wise):
Unemployment (thanks to our govenment who bring our country from bad to worst):
Unequal distribution of money (thanks to our mighty politicians again):

Corruption (What is that... never heard of it..huh.. go to any government office or any public sector & then come back to me):

Economic Policies in India (even after 64 years since our Independence & the condition is almost the same, then what is the relevance & necessity for the hurried independence. This was the biggest worry for our earlier national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Patel, Abul Kalam Azad, Bhagat Singh etc.):

Status of India (No comments... I don't want the 0fficials at my doorsteps...)

Hindustan VS Pakistan (Cricket Match) - A mockery on Faith & Unity in Diversity.

ICC Cricket World Cup, 2nd Semi-Final: India v Pakistan at Mohali, Mar 30, 2011

Dear All... My apologies for the delay (actually its been 15 days - 19 hours & 09 minutes) since my last post as I was completely flooded (though the Tsunami was in Japan) with works & had to crack many things & got cracked. I guess this 'working for money' stuff is not my 'thing'. LOL.

The Clock is ticking...(with digital dolby surround sound) Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc...(ok...thatz enough)... just have to wait for another 30 minutes...then comes the grand event. Once again in 'ring' Pakistan at the mercy of India or the vice versa.
Haahh... Another Cricket match between India Vs Pakistan. What a wonderful oppurtunity for the Indians & Pakistanis (leave the rest of the world aside for good) to show patriotism & strength... (read here)

Yepp...Tatz correct. You guyz read it rite on the Title " A mockery on Faith & Unity in Diversity...!!!

Today (to be specific 1.00 PM Dubai / Muscat time), after a long gap of many years, once again the hearts of 1.1 billion Indians will beat together as if a single heart with a raising pulse upon each & every minute passes-by. Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom.
You know what. This special phenomenon occurs (the boom...boom... beating of indian hearts) only once in 4 years approximately (like leap year) since the world cup comes only once in 4 years. There is another way to create this phenomenon for which our "dearest" politicians have to show some mercy (on the poor people) to declare another 'war on pakistan' (as if in Kargil). What a false, derisive & impudent imitation or otherwise 'Mockery'.

Today morning I received this e-mail (with the below pic as an attachment) which states (or rather predicts) the very reasons for the victory of INDIA. Have a look @ it guys.
Note: Rajni Fans, please do forgive me. Neither degradation nor abuse is my intention. Given as received.

Even, here in our offices, e-mails spread like wild fire (am in Muscat at present) that government declared a half day leave for every company employees due to this specia event happening. The mail is as goes below:
"""Government of  Oman, declared a half a day off on 30th March,2011 on the event of India Pak cricket match..
Enclosed here the list of companies which comes under this category. If your companies name is the list, Kindly pass this  information to your colleagues. File Attached with this mail""" (which was nothing but an 'April Fool message in advance')

"Wa" - - - What a Great Nation. What a Lesson...???

With prayers (deep & long lasting prayers) to all those who had departed us during the terrible events in Japan & for those who still suffer. Let the lord almighty shower his blessings upon them (as upon us).
But, folks, my writings here is not about the sufferings & after effects of the recent tsunami hit in Japan. I am not going to bore you guys (I guess our well-trained, ever-eager mass media is doing that job well by feeding live updates into our minds & thus reminding us how lucky we are. Well, I wonder who has time in today's world to grieve for the lost) but infact I wish to emphasize (or rather shout out loud) the greateness of a nation & its people who had showed us a lesson (indeed a noble one) during the tragedy. For 'us' (the rest of the world) it may be a tragedy but for the people of Japan, it is again a time of national emergency (considering the fact that Japan always had suffered tragedies through out the history whether it may be earthquakes, tsunami, atom bombing, epidemics, invasions etc) & it is a time to rise again & stand firm from nothing but ashes.

Let me put a little facts below before getting into the our subject:

  1. Date of the tragedy: March 11th 2011.
  2. 8.9 magnitude earthquake
  3. 10 meters high Tsunami waves followed by the earthquake.
  4. Earthquake-stricken areas are seriously short of water, food, gasoline and other supplies.
  5. The amount of people who gather in the refuge has risen to 550,000.
  6. The current prime minister of Japan Naoto Kan said that the country is experiencing its largest difficulties since the end of World War II in 1945.
  7. Nuclear Power Plants gave a serious threat to the lives of the people that too for generations to come.
  8. Approximately 8,550. dead
  9. Approximately 13,000. still missing
Note: The pictures given below are not mine (ofcourse) but are collected from internet (thanks to Google & to couple of friends):

Now, getting into my topic:
It is a very simple word of Japanese / Chinese / Korean Origin ----- "Wa" ----- (meaning Harmony / Peace / Balance)
I would like to acknowledge and praise the Japanese People for practicing “Wa” (peace and harmony-unity) throughout this ordeal.
1. THE CALM

Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. THE DIGNITY

Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

3. THE ABILITY

The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didnt fall.

4. THE GRACE

People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

5. THE ORDER

No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

6. THE SACRIFICE

Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

7. THE TENDERNESS

Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.

8. THE TRAINING

The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

9. THE MEDIA

They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

10. THE CONSCIENCE

When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly...!!!

“Wa”
Bottomline, throughout all of this they remain orderly, polite and respectful to one another. It has been noticed by all some vending machines on a video of the Japan earthquake and tsunami in a ravaged area that had survived intact and with all of the items still in it. I was amazed that the machine hadn’t been looted as would have been the case in most countries. Japan; the world is praying and hoping for you and your ‘Wa’ has been observed by the many of us; thanks for setting such a good example in all of this.
Let the world may follow you & learn your spirit...!!!

Smack-the-Smoke...!!!

1st of all let me say … I do not smoke…!!!
You may ask...Why not…??? If more than a billion people on this green-planet can be active smokers (Honestly, again, I do not know whether there exist a class called active smokers... I just used it for the sake of my own convenience) & rather enjoy the same... then why not me…???
Well I guess, it is just because, Smoking does not thrill me & drive me… As simple as that…!!!
Now anyone out there may ask me, “Buddy… if you had not yet tasted cigarette even once, then how can you possibly judge “smoking”…??? Well… to them I may say “Is it necessary to drink heavy poison to know the fact that ‘Poison Kills’…???

One strange thing I always noticed about ‘Smokers’ is that, they learn very early to put up a mental wall of denial between the habit of smoking and the harsh reality of the damages this habit inflict upon themselves with every cigarette being smoked & the kind of excuses with which they come up to justify the act.

As a matter of fact it is true that the inhaled smoke of nicotine may provide them a certain level of comfort. And that may be the reason we are being told about the efforts of reducing the number of cigarette consumption & there is always a room for quitting when they really want. Also that cancer doesn’t run in their family. These kind of excuses support the framework of their wall of denial for years & years.

Eventually though, most smokers find that the wall begins to crumble, and bit by bit, smoking becomes a fearful, anxious activity. This is when most smokers start seriously thinking about how they might find a way to quit smoking for good.

A crucial step in the recovery process from nicotine addiction involves breaking through that wall of denial to put smoking in the proper light. We need to learn to see our cigarettes not as the friend or buddy we can't live without, but as the horrific killers they truly are.

If you're thinking that it's time to quit smoking, or have just quit and need some motivation to keep going, use the smoking facts below to fuel the fire in your belly that will help you beat your smoking habit, once and for all.

The “Quit Smoking” Revolution

I’m really not sure why i termed this post as a revolution. Probably i feel that such campaigns will bring a revolution in the world and make it a better place to live in, eventually.
Anyways, you might have noticed on my blog that the whole blog is about me. The niche/subjects everything has to do with me or things that I own or admire. Probably that keeps my blog as original as one can be. However there is one thing that i received today in an email that i would like to share with you...!!!

I will probably post this as a public service message. And of course it will be a constant boost to myself & others for the motivation and determination because the end results are terrible.
So here are some of the images as pictures speak a 1000 times better than words.]

Last but not the least, I will end this looooooooooong post (rather boring for many) with the below 7 more reasons to quit Smoking.

The younger generations, think of smoking as part of being cool. While some believe that smoking adds appeal to a man's rogue effect, women who smoke are regarded as sophisticated. Not all can have the same opinion to these, yet one thing is quite agreeable, that smoking can be very bad for the body's physical features. Smoking can robe a person's good looks and youth. Smoking may cause the following:
Dry and fragile skin: Smoking reduces the water content of the skin’s outer layer.

Wrinkles around the nose and mouth: Chemicals is cigarette such as nicotine, carbon monoxide, tar and lead reduce blood flow to the skin, reducing circulating of oxygen and break down the skin’s collagen and elastin.
Risk of Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a disease that causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin. It can be usually seen in the skin of the elbows and knees, but can also affect any area including the scalp and genitals. Studies reveal that the risk of psoriasis was 37% higher among past smokers and 78% higher among current smokers.
Skin cancer: Smokers are more than three times more likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma of the skin than non-smokers. Smoking induces skin cancer by holding back the immune system. And patients with suppressed immune systems are more susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma in many locations, including the skin.
Hair loss: Hair is able to grow because of hair follicles. The dermal papilla, which are near the bottom of hair follicles, are responsible for creating new cells. The new cells shove themselves upward, moving the old cells upward. When the cells reach the middle of the hair follicle, they die out and become hard. They become the central core of the hair follicle and afterward, become the new hair shaft. Smoking prevents dermal papilla from growing. This hinders the hair  from growing.
Yellow teeth: Nicotine and tar leaves a sticky residue on the teeth. Even with one inhalation of cigarette smoke, stains are left behind. There are brands of cigarettes that contain more nicotine and tar than the others. The higher the ratio of nicotine and tar, the more the teeth will be stained by the cigarette.
Yellow nails: Tar and nicotine are also the components of cigarette that cause yellow fingernails. These two stain the fingernails and the skin surrounding the fingers that hold the cigarette.
So there is nothing cool about smoking. It can definitely rob one's youth and beauty:

P.S.: if anyone out there who read all the above & continued with the habit of smoking, to them I wish to say:
"Mate... Let the GOD himself protect you & bless you".
