"O mankind! WE created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know and honor each other (not that you should despise one another). Indeed the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most righteous."

Wadi Shab - Grand Canyon of Oman.

My friends - Monty & Zaheer....!!!! These are the crazies who did everything for this trip to happen - starting from Planning, buying stuffs, arraging them, marinating the meat (chicken & prawns actually) for barbecuing, selecting the right songs to play, entertainment stuffs, final gear ups & what not. The trip was nothing but exciting all the way long & till we reached the place though Monty was smooth on the wheel probably might have thought not to spoil my car even after we had told him to drive faster as much as he can but his courtesy & generosity didn't allow him to. Monty.... next time don't be so buddy...!!!
Upon the arrival, the breeze took us to another world - a world of superb view & mind blowing thrill. Literally we fell in love with the place at the first sight itself. The feeling of 'excitement' gave way to 'overwhelm' once we started trekking all the way through the narrow rocky path-ways carrying the stuffs like a plastic mat & pillow, BBQ stuffs, cool box, even a chair to sit n relax. The crowd was really less which made the trekking more interesting. The deeper we went, fewer the crowd & higher the joy we felt.
We then halted @ a place near to a 'wadi' awsomely green & transparent, un-believably silent & absolutely calm. We could see the tiny white stones lying low bed all through the depth of the water & the water itself was chilly cold as if we had dived straight into the heart of zues (the greek god of ice or infact weather) from helios (the greek god of sun). Indeed we were longing for a fresh water dip & thus did a quick swim which had freshened us up.
Then we were all set to go for the BBQ...!!!

Trip to As'Seiffah.

A long-silent-twisting drive. That was all I wanted on the dark-skied day of 21st Jan, Friday. Thanks to Zaheer who took me to "As'Seiffah" - a place 25-30 kms inside from Yiti Beach - & the drive was coooooolllll...!!!

Actually the plan was to feel the ups & downs of the river-side roads where Zaheer had been before many times. But on the way we had a change in plan since we met this guy (a Balushi Omani - name Anonymous) & his indian girlfriend who wanted us to join them on their trip to "Samakk" (a special sea-viewed restaurant serving exotic fishes & located in As'Seiffah).

We weren't having any special plans & what we had planned before was very limited, which made us to say "Yes. Why not?" & the trip went out real fun. Especially the 'scenes' created by our friend with couple of localites. The situation really got heated up when this 'guy' bashed his car on another localite Omani's car & then we got surrounded by many. I saw Zaheer's forehead getting sweat in between the 'scenes' while trying to melt the ice though I was busy studying the people & taking couple of pics.
(yeah... I know what you are thinking now...!!!)
They say, pictures 'speak' eloquently than words. I hope you guys will enjoy the same:
Ruwi High-Street. Hardly we get to see this (otherwise a thick-packed) street so deserted.

 The very best Samakk Restaurant.

An Awesome Trip to QURIYAT...!!!

It was a sunny day, we 4 were sitting idle without much to do, dead boring (generally the day without office work is boring), then all of a sudden it was Noushad who jumped from his seat with this wonderful idea of a 'One Day Trip'. We all got freshened up & geared up.
In 30 minutes we all were on road on our way to 'Quriyat'.
----------"Mind-Blowing"----------
I don't have any other word but the above to name the place. It was like "Guyz...Why the hell didn't we come here before, being so long in Muscat"... There is this place you gonna before reaching Quriyat where you'll be in 120-140 km/hr speed, on a straight long road, & then comes the highlight of the 'distant view' of blue sea merging with the blue sky leaving no trace of a slight clue of where the merg starts. It gives you the feeling of a whole sky ahead of you & you gonna drive straight into the sky...!!! We stopped our car for couple of minutes to enjoy the view but unfortunately couldn't take the pics since the camera battery was dead. Then got it recharged from a 'coffee shop' after reaching Quriyat & then took the below pics.

The clear & cool waters (wadis) of Quriyat are the other highlights of this trip. Oman is full of eye-soothers & after this trip we pity those who never had the chance to feel the beat of Quriyat. Cheerrrsss...!!!!

QURIYATTTTT... Finally here WE are...!!!!
Look @ him... Noushad is Ready to Burst.
WE - THE TEAM - (from Left) Myself, Abubacker, Shanavas, Noushad
hhhmmm. Its a self-taken pic. (Sorry.. I know I shouldn't have put it here. Hope you guyz will bare with me)
Dizzy in Noushad's driving.
Surprise..Surprise.. What a coincidence. We met Abdullah on the way (he is my friend & my Ex-company PRO)
Confused - whether to jump in to the Wadi or just to watch them swim.
Halt for a drink.

Ready to Roll - Back to the Origin.
